A beloved TV actor has disclosed that he was considered for the lead role in Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four film, leaving fans disappointed that he ultimately did not land the part.
During an interview with Salaam Nerds, Rahul Kohli revealed that he had auditioned for the role of Reed Richards, leader of the Fantastic Four. However, on February 14, 2024, it was announced that Pedro Pascal had been cast as Mister Fantastic instead. The rest of the Marvel first family, including Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, would also be joining the cast for the upcoming Marvel movie.
Kohli has gained recognition from fans for his involvement in the “Flanaverse” , having appeared in several of Mike Flanagan’s Netflix productions such as The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Regarding his potential Marvel role, he revealed, “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to discuss it, but the important thing is that I didn’t end up getting it. However, there are days where I can still see myself as Constantine. The passion for the character always resurfaces. And I appreciate all the love from fans. It’s a great feeling to know that people are rooting for you.”
