In the dynamic realm of competitive gaming, players often adopt various strategies to achieve success, with some choosing a non-violent path. Recently, a notable player within the Marvel Rivals community shared their journey, highlighting a unique take on gameplay that has captured the attention of many.
Known as “NoDmgRocket, ” this player has distinguished themselves as a true pacifist in the multiplayer environment, reminiscent of similar approaches seen in previous games like Black Ops 6. Over the past few weeks, Rocket has documented their ascent through ranks on platforms such as Reddit and X (formerly Twitter). The highlight of their achievements came when they reached the prestigious Celestial rank, marking a significant milestone in their gaming career.
Appeal to Developers for Damage Removal
Despite Rocket’s impressive accomplishments, challenges arose when they unintentionally inflicted damage during a match. Rather than conceding defeat, Rocket took a proactive approach. In a lighthearted twist, they reached out to developer NetEase, requesting that the accidental damage be removed from their profile.

“I accidentally did an oopsie while playing Competitive and hurt someone, ” Rocket humorously phrased their email to the developers. The message continued, requesting the removal of the “silly little 22-damage number”from their stats, with a promise to be more cautious in future gameplay.
Upon revealing this quirky interaction, Rocket’s followers eagerly awaited a response from NetEase. However, the news was not what they hoped for.
Rocket got an answer back, It’s a No 🙁But that’s to be expected, Rocket did it as a joke anyways! Rocket will carry on the 22 dmg as a reminder for dashing too close to the sun!

Confirming the developers’ decision with a follow-up tweet, Rocket acknowledged the outcome. While they humorously noted that the request was made in jest, they decided to embrace the accidental damage as a quirky badge of honor.“I will carry on, ” Rocket stated, turning the incident into a motivational reminder to stay true to their pacifist roots while navigating the challenges of the game.
Having achieved the Celestial rank—one of the highest tiers in Marvel Rivals—Rocket’s future endeavors in the game remain highly anticipated. Will they continue to excel while adhering to their non-violent philosophy, or will they venture into new territory? Only time will tell as they continue to inspire others in the gaming community.
