Marvel Rivals Mantis: A Guide to Abilities, Ultimate, Tips, and More

If you are considering playing as Mantis in Marvel Rivals, here is a comprehensive overview of her abilities, ultimate move, helpful tips, and additional information.

The highly anticipated beta for Marvel Rivals will kick off on July 23, 2024. This beta will grant lucky players the opportunity to dive into the action-packed hero shooter, featuring beloved characters from the entire MCU. Among these characters is Mantis, who serves as a supportive healing character.

In Marvel Rivals, Mantis serves as a valuable Strategist who offers healing and utility to your team. What sets her apart from other Strategist characters is her ability to automatically target and assist her teammates with healing and other abilities, eliminating the need for precise aiming.

Naturally, it is still necessary to have a direct view of them, but when your team primarily consists of agile heroes, Mantis should be your top choice for support.

Mantis’ Life Energy Blast is a projectile that requires precise aiming. A successful critical hit can replenish her Life Orb, which serves as her resource meter for utilizing her abilities.

Mantis’ healing and abilities are dependent on her Life Orb.

Mantis is highly skilled at providing healing and enhancing the damage of their teammates. However, utilizing each ability requires a Life Orb, emphasizing the crucial need to maintain a balance between healing and effectively landing attacks.

Despite her limited mobility, her Spore Slumber ability compensates for this by allowing you to put your enemies to sleep for a swift getaway.

Tips for Playing Mantis in Marvel Rivals

When playing as Mantis, it is important to stay in the backline and continuously attack the enemy during fights, even if you are not using a lot of Life Orbs on your teammates. There is always a chance that you will land a critical hit, and even just one orb can have a significant impact.

Make an effort to find a position where you can give your teammates a Life Orb without being ambushed by the opposing team. This task may be challenging, depending on the map, but always make sure to seek shelter whenever available to prevent the enemy from seeing you.

It is important to prioritize using healing orbs on characters who are difficult for other Strategists to reach or target with their skills, such as Spider-Man or Iron Man. If possible, also provide these characters with a damage orb, particularly if they are engaged in a fight with the enemy.

Mantis’ Soul Resurgence ultimate is effective in maintaining your team’s sustain in team fights, however, it is not enough to protect you from sudden bursts of damage, such as from Scarlet Witch’s ultimate.

Although it may be tempting to use Spore Slumber when the enemy team is clustered, there may be situations where it is necessary to hold onto it in order to put any flanking opponents to sleep.

Furthermore, Natural Anger can also be utilized to provide a damage increase, allowing you to either chip away at your opponent’s health or secure a final blow.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on your Life Orbs during battles and make sure to deal damage whenever you can. You definitely don’t want to run out of resources at crucial moments.
