Marvel Rivals has introduced an intriguing new map, the Sanctum Sanctorum, which has captivated players, leaving them both amazed and surprised. This map serves as the battleground for Doom Match, a recently launched Arcade mode where 12 players compete in a frenzy to achieve the highest kill count.
Within this vividly designed map, players will encounter an array of winding corridors and peculiar settings, along with numerous portals that facilitate movement across the map. Whether it’s for strategic repositioning or the opportunity to snag a kill, the map invites players to explore and engage.
One particularly captivating discovery has recently come to light, enhancing the Free-for-All (FFA) mode. Players have uncovered a mind-boggling feature that warrants attention.
Marvel Rivals Players Encounter Infinite Stairs in the Sanctum Sanctorum
Among the notable elements in the Sanctum Sanctorum map is a set of staircases featuring intricately curved walls. At first glance, they appear to be ordinary stairs, but players quickly realize that there’s something unusual at play. Regardless of the staircase chosen, ascending or descending leads back to the same location repeatedly.

This phenomenon is reminiscent of Doctor Strange’s portals, providing an unexpected twist that enhances the gameplay experience. While the stairs may not function in a perfectly seamless manner, players have commended the developers for their ambition in integrating such a unique feature.
One user remarked, “Most devs would never even attempt something like that. Shows some passion.” Another player recounted their experience, stating, “I tried to run away from a Magik here who caught me at low health, and I just walked right back into her and died.”
Another participant added, “It confused the s*** out of me at first because I was playing as Punisher and watched an enemy just keep going up and down.” With a sense of humor, one player declared, “This is crazy,” while another observed, “To be fair, of all places in Marvel, that would be the one to have that.”
Furthermore, this captivating map features a portal that, when traversed, drops players outside the building at a different angle, enhancing the surreal atmosphere.
