Marvel’s Spoilers of Deadpool & Wolverine Cameos Angers Fans

To celebrate the release of Deadpool and Wolverine, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con… accompanied by all the cameo actors in the film.

Using social media during the release of a new Marvel movie always comes with a certain level of risk. However, there are measures that can be taken such as muting terms and blocking accounts. One fan even went as far as creating an extension to avoid seeing any spoilers.

Surprisingly, they still manage to make their way onto your feed and completely ruin your day (I have personally experienced this when I found out about a major death in The Walking Dead just minutes before I started watching).

The film Deadpool & Wolverine is full of surprises that you wouldn’t want to know about before watching it. This includes unexpected appearances from characters in the X-Men timeline and Marvel’s Fox era. If you don’t want to have these surprises spoiled, then this is your final warning to stop reading.

Some familiar faces from the Marvel universe make appearances in Deadpool & Wolverine, including Wesley Snipes as Blade, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Dafne Keen as X-23, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four.

After a screening at Comic-Con, they all joined Jackman and Reynolds on stage. However, this has had an unintended result: hundreds of attendees shared videos and photos from the convention, spoiling the surprise for those who were waiting for the movie’s release.

One user tweeted that it is unfair to ask fans not to spoil the surprises of the film if the creators are going to do it themselves. They urged for the film to be shown in theaters to give fans and moviegoers the opportunity to see it for themselves.

One person wrote, “They’re already revealing all the major cameos. That takes away all the excitement.”Another person expressed frustration, stating, “Did the Marvel SDCC Panel really have to spoil some of the biggest cameos on the same night the movie was released? It’s a surefire way to upset those who are actively trying to avoid spoilers.”A third person posted, echoing the sentiment.

“Okay, I’m going to sign off of this app now. It’s disappointing that SDCC revealed all the Deadpool and Wolverine cameos before the general public had a chance to see them on opening weekend,”commented a fourth person on Twitter.
