A massive breach of in-progress materials for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has exposed a number of beloved maps that are currently in the works and could potentially make a comeback in the franchise. These maps consist of Firing Range and Nuketown.
Despite the mixed reception at the time, MW3’s choice to incorporate its entire launch map pool from previous games in the series was ultimately well-received. This is because diehard fans hold a special fondness for classic CoD maps.
Fans of Call of Duty who have been playing for more than ten years are always excited to see classic content return, and it seems that Black Ops 6 will continue this trend with its map selection.
A source leaked several images of the maps currently being developed, including many that have not been seen in the series before.

Nonetheless, this does not imply that classic CoD maps will not make a comeback. The titles of potential maps are still concealed in the system’s files, as the content is still being worked on.
When browsing through the file list, several familiar names appear, some of which may not immediately stand out.

In Black Ops 1, you assisted Viktor Reznov in escaping from Vorkuta, making it the first callback in the series. The inclusion of Vorkuta as a map location not only serves as a significant nod to the franchise, but also holds significant narrative implications for Black Ops 6.
Despite being a fan favorite, Contraband is still highly anticipated by fans as one of the most beloved maps from Black Ops 4, making its return in Hacienda highly anticipated as well.
At the same time, it can be argued that Nuketown and Firing Range hold a special place in the hearts of fans due to their frequent appearances in multiple CoD games, starting with their initial inclusion in Black Ops 1.
It is also plausible that the file “socotra2″is referencing Socotra, the island where the Yemen map in Black Ops 2 was situated.
While these are indeed datamined file names, they should not be considered a definitive list of maps. It is possible that some of these maps may not be included in the final version of the game.
