Massive Call of Duty Leaks Reveal Early Plans for 2025 & 2026 Games Plus Warzone 3 Tests

A large amount of information has been leaked from the latest CoD HQ update, revealing codenames, weapon lists, and other details for what seem to be the next two games. Additionally, there is mention of a Warzone 3 and future plans for DMZ.

With the consolidation of CoD into one application, CoD HQ, dataminers are always ready to dive into the extensive lines of code whenever a new launcher update is released.

In August 2024, after an update was released, the top CoD leakers discovered potential information about the next two CoD games. According to insiders, the next games will be Modern Warfare 4 and Black Ops 7, but there is disagreement about the order of their release. The first game to hit shelves will be Black Ops 6 on October 25, 2024.

The latest CoD HQ update revealed multiple codenames, including ‘Sat’ for Saturn, and ‘Rex’ and ‘Rap’ for two others. Leakers have connected the dots years before its release by analyzing accompanying strings of data, which reveal details such as weapon names and accompanying features for the first two codenames.

Undoubtedly, since it is still in the early stages of development, it is important to approach everything mentioned here with caution. It is common for plans to change during a game’s development process, which is often kept confidential, so there is a possibility that the information provided here may be incorrect or outdated.

Despite potential changes, sources say that Saturn is currently being referred to as Black Ops 7 and Rex as Modern Warfare 4 by leakers. The next title, expected to be released in 2026 and developed by Infinity Ward, is being internally dubbed as Warzone 3.

Despite the cancellation of Warzone 2 and the return to the original title of Warzone, it seems that this codename is now being used to mark the third major relaunch of the Battle Royale.

According to a statement from the leaker on X (previously known as Twitter), Warzone 2 remains the internal code name for the current version of Warzone.

Additionally, there have been mentions of DMZ within the Rex project’s code lines. This further supports the speculation that the upcoming game could be Modern Warfare 4, considering DMZ was created solely by Infinity Ward.

Despite DMZ managing to pull in some viewers, it failed to reach the level of success that Warzone achieved with its take on the Battle Royale genre. However, if these datamines are correct, it seems that early testing has already begun for a potential new version of the DMZ mode, slated to be released within the next two years.

At the time of writing, it’s still early and plans can easily change. But don’t worry, we will continue to provide you with the latest updates once Black Ops 6 is released and fans turn their attention to the next game as usual.
