Electronic Arts has officially unveiled the Black Friday Mode Mastery event for EA FC 25 Ultimate Team. This event introduces a fresh twist to the line-up, reminiscent of the beloved Swaps feature.

While EA FC 25 has rolled out a mix of nostalgic promotions such as Road to the Knockouts and FC Pro Live, players can also anticipate innovative campaigns, including the recently launched Ballon d’Or Weekend and now the Mode Mastery event.

When Does Mode Mastery Begin?

The Mode Mastery event is set to commence on Friday, November 29, 2024, starting at 8 AM GMT / 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET. This information was confirmed via a new loading screen in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team.

Notably, this date coincides with the launch of the Thunderstruck Black Friday promo. Although the specific duration of the Mode Mastery event remains unconfirmed, it is speculated that it may conclude on December 6, coinciding with the two-week duration of Thunderstruck. Understanding Black Friday Mode Mastery

The Mode Mastery event in EA FC 25 closely mirrors previous Icon Swaps mechanics, allowing players to earn valuable cards through match play which can subsequently be exchanged for superior rewards.

Unlike prior iterations that required fulfilling specific objectives, Mode Mastery integrates card rewards directly into existing formats like Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions. The rank you achieve in these modes determines the Mode Mastery Packs you receive alongside your standard weekly prizes.

For instance, FUT Champs has introduced a reward structure that offers one pack for four wins, two packs for nine wins, and three for achieving 13 wins. Each pack contains exclusive MM items redeemable in SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) for upgraded versions, akin to the previous Icon Swaps system.

Similar mechanics will be applied to rewards in Squad Battles and Division Rivals, though specific details regarding those rewards remain undisclosed.

What Rewards to Expect from Mode Mastery

Leaked information from sources such as ‘Donk Trading’ suggests that Mode Mastery will offer both packs and specially enhanced cards as rewards. However, a complete list of prizes will not be disclosed until the event launches on November 29.

Drawing from past Swaps experiences, it’s reasonable to expect that the available packs will hold significant value. Previous events have included high-stakes packs like the 83×10, which traditionally have yielded top-tier cards. However, these rewards likely necessitate the submission of multiple MM items.

Additionally, players will boast dramatically improved stats, making them some of the most sought-after cards in the game.
