McDonald’s and BTS Collaborate for Adorable Happy Meal Figures, Limited Availability

McDonald’s has recently introduced new Happy Meals that include collectible figures from the BT21 toy range, featuring the popular BTS group.

A total of seven charming figures are available to collect, with each one being designed by a member of the world-famous K-Pop group.

On August 21, 2024, these Happy Meal toys were released and caused a social media frenzy as videos of large crowds waiting in line to grab the toys quickly spread online.

Instead of just making avatars that look like the artists, BT21 is made up of 8 unique and charismatic characters designed by the members of BTS, who were all actively involved in every step of the creation process, from sketching to finalization.

The exclusive toys available in the Happy Meal are:

  • Tata: V’s character is a huge heart-headed character, an alien with transforming powers. His limbs can bend and stretch into weird lengths and shapes.
  • Mang: J-Hope’s character is a dancing pony that keeps his face hidden behind a mask.
  • Chimmy: The playful puppy in yellow represents the band’s overall image, according to Jimin. He’s active, and loves to hang out.
  • RJ: Jin’s character is an alpaca that is often seen wearing a parka. The other members of the band often say he looks like an alpaca and he’s been drawing them for years.
  • Koya: RM’s persona is that of a drowsy blue koala. He possesses detachable ears and a purple nose, with V having once remarked that the color purple symbolizes love.
  • Cooky: Created by Jungkook, this petite pink rabbit is known for its dedication to working out and its tendency to envision itself as a muscular man when angered.
  • Shooky describes Suga’s drawing as a cookie with a tough attitude. He and Cooky are inseparable best friends, and he has a strong dislike for milk.

How to Get BTS Happy Meal Toys

Both K-Pop and fast food enthusiasts are equally enthusiastic about this partnership, resulting in a frenzy of excitement. As a result, McDonald’s outlets are being inundated with customers eager to snag these limited-edition toys before they disappear. Unfortunately for fans in the US, the toys are exclusively available in Mexico at the moment, so they may have to plan a trip to get their hands on them.

Different from other Happy Meal toys, you don’t have to rely on chance to receive a different figurine each time. As mentioned in the translated Spanish video, you have the option to pay 200 pesos (approximately $10) to select a specific toy or pay 1,200 pesos (around $60) to take a chance and receive the complete collection all at once.

If these collectibles are similar to the McDonald’s Collector’s Cups, which are currently being sold for thousands of dollars.

To obtain a collectible Happy Meal toy without traveling far, McDonald’s has recently introduced a Hello Kitty x YuGiOh toy collection in the US.
