McDonald’s has a New ‘Big Arch’ that Will Tower Over the Big Mac

McDonald’s is currently conducting trials of a new burger in specific regions, aiming to make the Big Mac seem like a mere appetizer.

The ‘Big Arch’ burger is currently being trialed in three different international markets around the world.

The burger is currently undergoing testing in Portugal under the name “Mac’s biggest star”and in Canada as the “satiating burger.”

McDonald’s created this burger in an attempt to attract its customers back, as fast food inflation rates have reached unprecedented levels.

The recently introduced ‘Arch Burger’ consists of two beef patties, three slices of melted white cheddar cheese, a unique “tangy”sauce, crispy and slivered onions, lettuce, and pickles, all sandwiched between a brioche bun topped with multicolored seeds.

Despite not having any specific information about the appearance or flavor of this burger, CEO Chris Kempczinski from McDonald’s characterized it as a unique take on their classic, recognizable taste that embodies the essence of the fast food chain’s burgers.

The burgers are currently undergoing testing through the end of August. Popular items such as spicy nuggets and snack wraps were initially tested in international markets, suggesting that it may not be long before this new burger appears on menus in the US.

The chain has been promoting larger burgers, increased chicken options, and an improved coffee experience in order to attract customers back in 2024. Their newly upgraded burgers, which debuted earlier this year, were the first step in fulfilling this commitment.

There were some McDonald’s customers who were optimistic about the potential impact of this new burger on the current menu: “In comparison to other chains, their menu is quite unchanging and uninteresting… and now they’ve even raised prices on the same dull menu. All they need is to introduce potato wedges or curly fries and they would see a significant increase in profits.”

Similarly, numerous individuals concurred with this statement and put forth the idea that McDonald’s menu lacked the level of innovation it could potentially have. This was particularly evident given that they frequently introduce new and exciting items in other countries that do not always make their way to the US.

Despite this, one commenter provided a possible explanation for the issue, stating that “It could be due to the sheer size of McDonald’s. Just think about how many McDonald’s restaurants there are worldwide. At one point, they attempted to add an item containing blueberries to their menu, but it ended up depleting the world’s entire supply of blueberries.”

If a new item is to be released, it must be able to be produced using ingredients that are already commonly used by the company.
