A Quick Look at the McRib’s Legacy
The McRib, which first graced McDonald’s menus in 1981, has been a hit and miss over the years, even being removed completely in 2022. This action spurred a passionate response from customers, leading to its recent reintroduction in both the UK and the US. Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, sums it up perfectly: “The McRib is more than a sandwich — it’s a part of culture, it’s a legend, it’s an event.”
