Megumi’s Role as the Next Star Plasma Vessel in Jujutsu Kaisen Could Fulfill Kenjaku’s Actual Goal

Similarly to how Jujutsu Kaisen’s fans will recall, the main focus of the plot revolved around two enemies – Ryomen Sukuna and Kenjaku. Although Sukuna is currently engaged in a fight with Yuji Itadori and his allies, Kenjaku met his demise in the manga after Yuta Okkotsu killed him by cutting off his head following a confrontation with Fumihiko Takaba.

Despite being on the brink of death, Kenjaku made it clear that his will would continue on. However, since his defeat, the manga has not made significant progress in regards to the Merger storyline. The only mention of it has been Sukuna’s intention to merge humanity in order to engage in a thrilling battle with the manifested entity.

Despite Tengen’s loss of their body, it was still necessary for them to obtain a Star Plasma Vessel in order for Sukuna to attempt a Merger, as fans may recall. As a result, there is a potential for Megumi Fushiguro to become the next Star Plasma Vessel.

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

Is Megumi Fushiguro the Next Star Plasma Vessel in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Despite the Jujutsu Kaisen manga not yet revealing the next Star Plasma Vessel following Riko Amanai, the anime has dropped a subtle hint that Megumi may potentially be the chosen one. This is shown through the presence of a fish, which was also seen in Riko’s childhood and the anime’s first opening as it approached Yuji Itadori on the train.

Yuji’s Domain Expansion has materialized as a train station, potentially shifting the manga’s focus from battling Sukuna to Kenjaku’s plot for the Merger.

After Kenjaku’s passing, the mini Tengen he had consumed was transferred to Sukuna, who had also ingested it. This allowed Megumi Fushiguro, who had been granted the power to activate the merger of humankind, to do so.

If this progression continues, it is possible that Megumi Fushiguro will assume the role of the new Star Plasma Vessel and merge with Tengen. As a result, Sukuna may gain control of Tengen and initiate the merging of humanity. This turn of events would ultimately lead to the realization of Kenjaku’s long-held ambition, with the King of Curses at the forefront.

It was also discovered in the manga that Six Eyes and Star Plasma Vessel were present during the merging. This raises the question of whether Satoru Gojo, the user of Six Eyes, knew about Megumi’s potential to become Star Plasma Vessel since he was the one who found and raised him.

It can be argued that the story of Humanity’s Merger would not feel complete without the involvement of its mastermind, Kenjaku. As a result, it is highly likely that the antagonist will make a reappearance in the series. After all, it is inconceivable for a character who has lived for centuries through their mastery of Jujutsu to meet their end in such a lackluster manner as beheading.

As a result, should Kenjaku manage to return using Gojo’s body, there is a possibility that he will initiate the fusion of humanity.
