Upon hearing news of the nearby fires, Gibson admitted he had an inkling of concern, thinking, “Eh, I wonder if my place is still there.” Unfortunately, upon his return, he discovered that his home was indeed gone.

Gibson conveyed uncertainty about rebuilding, stating, “The area was completely toasted. I’ve never seen such a complete burn.” His sentiments reflect the deep impact this disaster has had on numerous families and individuals within the region.
