The date, location, and theme for the much-awaited MelOn Music Awards (MMA) have been revealed by Korean news outlets. The yearly awards show has generated much excitement and anticipation.
On September 4, Star News published an article announcing the details for the 16th MelOn Music Awards, also known as the 2024 MMAs. According to the report, the awards ceremony will take place on November 30 at the INSPIRE Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.
The event’s slogan, “New Stream of K-pop,”embodies MelOn’s aim to stay at the forefront of emerging K-pop trends. Additionally, the MelOn award show seeks to unite K-pop fans globally and usher in a new era of music as a top music platform in South Korea.

The INSPIRE Arena is Korea’s inaugural multi-purpose indoor performance venue, equipped with 15,000 seats and a top-of-the-line sound system that enhances the experience of every audience member during thrilling performances.
According to Star News, MelOn will be offering pre-promotions, including gifts for K-pop fans, and will be holding a voting for the Top 10 and various other categories. All major announcements and events related to MMA 2024 will be posted on MelOn’s official page.
Additionally, CEO Jang Yoon Joong of Kakao Entertainment acknowledged the significance of MelOn’s 20-year history in the Korean music scene and highlighted the upcoming award show’s focus on recognizing artists’ accomplishments and promoting the future of K-pop at the MMA 2024.
“For the past 20 years, MelOn has led the Korean music industry as K-pop’s ‘home base,’ which also led to the creation of the current global K-pop craze.
Through the MelOn Music Awards 2024, we would like to honor the amazing achievements of this year’s artists alongside fans, while also showing the new vision and future for K-pop. Please look forward to it.”
