Following an unexpected delay, the Fortnitemares event has finally made its debut in Chapter 5, Season 4. With the latest update (31.40), players can explore new areas and encounter fresh characters, including Mephisto.

Mephisto stands out from typical NPCs, but he does require a certain cost for his services.

Where to Find Mephisto in Fortnite

You’ll discover Mephisto lounging on a throne at The Underworld POI in Fortnite. When you arrive at this location, you’ll notice a distinct visual change, with the area now featuring a reddish tint.

Mephisto can be found seated on his throne within The Underworld POI.

Rest assured, this is merely a visual adjustment to suit Mephisto’s character. The overall functionality and appearance of the area remain largely unchanged. Despite the new color scheme, the river still provides the same buff, enabling you to navigate quickly.

Utilize this buff to prioritize your search, heading through the main building’s long corridor towards Mephisto’s throne.

How to Access Mephisto’s Services

While many NPCs within Fortnite offer assistance in battles or sell various weapons and items, Mephisto presents a unique twist. He provides two distinct services that cannot be purchased with gold.

To engage with him, simply initiate a conversation. This will reveal the following options:

Mephisto’s Gift: Exchange 20 health points for a random weapon.
Mephisto’s Bargain: Sacrifice 99 HP to revive your entire squad.

Instead of traditional currency, you’ll need to forfeit some of your health as payment. This could be advantageous if you’re equipped with Med Kits and healing items.

However, be cautious; since you’re exchanging health, you might find yourself vulnerable to ambushes from nearby players who are watching the area.

As we’ve learned through experience, no area in the game is entirely secure, especially at a POI featuring useful NPCs or valuable loot. Always carry at least one mobility item to ensure you can make a quick escape if needed.
