The conclusion of the fight between Mereoleona Vermillion and Paladin Moris Libardirt was finally depicted in Black Clover chapter 371. Fans had been anticipating the end of Mereoleona’s role in the manga series, but she surprised them by turning the tables in the final moment.

Despite the initial comparison between Black Clover’s Mereoleona Vermillion and Bleach’s Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni due to their similar flame powers, it was only after the release of Black Clover chapter 371 that many fans began to believe that the Magic Knight had truly outclassed her Shinigami counterpart.

It is evident to fans of Black Clover and Bleach that Mereoleona Vermillion and Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni share a similar aura. Despite lacking any unique origins, both characters possess immense strength and unwavering confidence in their abilities.

Despite Yamamoto’s earlier claims of being the ultimate protector in the Soul Society, his death scene proved to be a disappointment. Just moments before, he had boasted of his unbeatable strength, yet in the end he met a pitiful demise at the hands of the Wandenreich King Yhwach.

The death of this character was strongly disliked by fans because it did not accurately reflect his entire personality and character. What made the situation even more disappointing was his battle against the duplicate Yhwach. At the time, viewers believed that Yamamoto and Yhwach were evenly matched. However, it was later revealed in the anime that Yamamoto was actually fighting Yhwach’s subordinate, Royd Lloyd.

Despite this, there were fans who believed that his death was fitting. Yamamoto was a formidable character, so the fact that Yhwach had to resort to cheating to defeat him was considered appropriate by some.

Yamamoto’s legacy was not portrayed as effectively in Black Clover compared to Mereoleona’s. The most recent chapter showcased her impressive capabilities and the manga depicted her with a stronger aura than Yamamoto. In fact, her aura was so impressive that numerous fans hailed her as the greatest flame user in all of Shonen anime.

Although the character has not yet died in the series, there is a possibility that she may do so. This is due to the character’s transformation into mana. Therefore, unless she is able to willingly revert back to being human, the events in chapter 371 essentially indicate her impending death.

Despite this, in the event of Mereoleona’s death after defeating Moris Libardirt, it will undoubtedly be viewed as more heroic than the passing of Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni. This is due to her not only emerging victorious over her opponent, but also showcasing a superior version of Yamamoto’s ability.

Mereoleona possessed the ability to revive her fallen comrades. Although the manga has not fully revealed the intricacies of this spell, it surpassed Yamamoto’s Zanka no Tachi, Minami: Kaka Jūmanokushi Daisōjin, as his power only permitted him to summon the lifeless bodies of his victims without their memories or personalities.
