Destiny 2’s latest Episode, Revenant, introduces a fourth Sidearm falling under the most formidable weapon archetype, which promises to be the ultimate addition in this category.
This particular Sidearm, Tinasha’s Mastery, is currently inaccessible but will become available when the pinnacle PvP event, Iron Banner, makes its return on November 19. This event will provide Guardians with a two-week window to grind for their optimal version of the Rocket Sidearm before Lord Saladin exits the Tower again.
So, what makes this seemingly unassuming handgun worth your time and effort? Tinasha’s Mastery aligns seamlessly with Revenant’s aim to boost the power level of Destiny 2’s original Darkness subclass. Notably, this is the inaugural Stasis-element Rocket-Assisted Frame to join the game, making it eligible for various seasonal artifact perks, including One With Frost and Brain Freeze.
Three other prominent weapons—Indebted Kindness, The Call, and Aberrant Action—represent Arc, Strand, and Solar respectively. They have defined the builds for their subclasses and Prismatic. Below is a rundown of all potential perks that Tinasha’s Mastery can drop with:
Perk Column 1 | Perk Column 2 |
---|---|
Air Trigger, Offhand Strike, Deconstruct, Enlightened Action, Impulse Amplifier, Loose Change, Reverberation | Adagio, Bait and Switch, Chill Clip, Desperate Measures, Frenzy, One for All, Surrounded |
Optimal Roll for Tinasha’s Mastery
The Stasis Rocket Sidearm, Tinasha’s Mastery, will be accessible when Iron Banner kicks off in Revenant Act 2.
Your individual preferences will guide the best perk pairings, but in general, the top combinations include Chill Clip along with Air Trigger or Impulse Amplifier.
Despite its nerf in Season of the Witch, Chill Clip continues to stand out as one of the most powerful Stasis-exclusive perks, generating area of effect explosions that cause slow effects with the upper half of the magazine. As you’ll be reloading frequently to activate Chill Clip, having the other two perks becomes crucial for maintaining that advantage.
Impulse Amplifier enhances reload speed by +20 and bolsters projectile velocity—an exceptional benefit given the slower projectiles of rocket sidearms—while Air Trigger offers a +30 reload speed bonus, but only while you’re in the air. Its secondary buff also provides an additional +30 to ammo reserves, a significant advantage for a Special weapon that’s often treated like a primary.
Keep in mind, similar to all Iron Banner firearms, Tinasha’s Mastery cannot be crafted, leaving you reliant on RNG while chasing your perfect roll.
