MHA Chapter 420: Raws, Spoilers: Eri Joins the Battlefield, Helps Deku

Despite Deku’s best efforts, he lost his arms to Shigaraki’s decay during their battle in the Vestige World. Shigaraki’s resolve was weakened, causing AFO to resurface and Shigaraki’s conscience to fade away. Now, Deku finds himself facing AFO once again.

In the 420th chapter, titled “From Aizawa-kun,”the plot provides us with a glimpse into the current condition of the remaining heroes and how they unite to persevere through the war.

1. Explanation for Present Mic and Aizawa’s Absence

The chapter picks up from the moment Kurogiri had teleported Aizawa and Mic away previously. As Mic tries to wake Kurogiri, tears stream down his face as he expresses his anger over the desecration of Shirakumo’s body. Aizawa notices Mic’s tears and Mic denies it, mistaking Aizawa’s comment as a reference to himself.

Although Aizawa mentioned Kurogiri, Mic found it hard to believe since Kurogiri, as a noumu, was incapable of crying. He advised Aizawa to stop hoping for another miracle like Tartarus.

Aizawa reminds Mic that despite the darkness, they were able to create a white spark, and as long as they remember where they came from, they can continue to guide their students. Suddenly, the mist surrounding Kurogiri intensifies as he weakly utters “Yamada,”causing Mic to cry earnestly. This moment serves as a reminder that memories never truly fade away.

2. The Unity of Heroes on All Fronts

Aizawa reaches out to Tsukauchi to inquire about Monoma’s ability to continue fighting. However, Tsukauchi informs him that Monoma is currently unconscious due to a head injury. Aizawa then asks for an update on the condition of all the remaining heroes who are able to fight on the battlefield.

The portals are functioning for an indefinite period, prompting Aizawa to urgently request for additional support. Death Arms, who had previously volunteered in Horikoshi’s work, Barrage, joins forces with Astro. The civilians generously offer their clothes to assist in bandaging the wounded heroes.

In the meantime, Gashly continues to face off against Sero, Sato, and Thirteen. But just as things seem dire, Tokage, Kamakiri, and Ectoplasm arrive to lend their assistance, initiating Phase 3 of the “Divide and Conquer”operation.

3. Heroes Unite Across All Realms

Aizawa arrives at the main battlefield and immediately asks Deku how long it has been since he lost his arms. Deku responds that he is unsure, as he sustained the injury while battling Shigaraki in the Vestige World.

Deku confirms that Shigaraki’s conscience, which he always struggled against while under AFO’s control, is now absent.

As we enter another flashback, we see Eri giving her horn to Aizawa. Despite being unable to join the battle, she is determined to aid in any way she can. Aizawa is taken aback and warns her that this action could potentially permanently harm her quirk. However, Eri confides in him that she has discovered her passion for singing, inspired by Jirou, and she wants to bring joy to all the heroes once the war is over.

4. Final Divide and Conquer Phase

As Aizawa impales Deku with Eri’s horn, he emphasizes the importance of Deku staying alive in order to hear Eri’s singing. Ectoplasm, who had assisted in removing Eri’s horn, informs Aizawa that Deku’s regeneration may take a few minutes due to Eri’s limited energy.

As the chapter comes to a close, Kaminari, Yaoyorozu, Shouji, Kouda, and Mineta join the battlefield, despite their heavy fatigue. They are inspired by Deku’s unwavering determination, causing their bodies to move instinctively. AFO cautiously observes the group of heroes.
