Midnight Society, the game studio owned by Dr Disrespect, has announced the termination of its relationship with the internet personality due to recent allegations of a Twitch ban.
On June 21, 2024, four years after his unexplained Twitch ban, a previous employee of the Amazon-owned platform made claims on social media that Doc was banned for allegedly “inappropriate behavior with a minor.”
Upon receiving the news, Dr Disrespect promptly addressed the situation, asserting that Twitch had not found any evidence of wrongdoing and had fulfilled the remaining terms of his contract.
Just three days after the incident, Midnight Society, the game studio of Dr Disrespect, announced their decision to end their partnership with him in order to uphold their principles and standards as a studio and as individuals.
On Friday evening, we were made aware of an accusation against our co-founder, Guy Beahm, also known as Dr Disrespect. We immediately presumed his innocence and initiated discussions with all parties involved. In order to uphold our studio’s values and personal standards, it was necessary for us to take action,”they stated.
“As a result, we will be ending our partnership with Guy Beahm with immediate effect.”
“Although it may be challenging to hear and accept these facts, it is our responsibility to conduct ourselves with grace for the benefit of all individuals involved, particularly the fifty-five developers and families we have hired, as well as our community of players.”
