Midnight Society has refuted Dr Disrespect’s assertions regarding a potential return to the game studio after he confessed to sending inappropriate direct messages (DMs) to a minor.
YouTuber Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Guy Beahm, faced significant repercussions, losing multiple partnerships and voluntarily departing from Midnight Society. This followed claims from former Twitch personnel that he had been banned from the platform in 2020 due to messages directed at an underage individual.
Although Doc acknowledged the allegations, he later resumed streaming on YouTube, alleging that Twitch was responsible for the ban and asserting that he had committed no wrongdoing.
As Beahm waited for a decision regarding his YouTube monetization application, he addressed a user who was confused about his continued association with Midnight Society in his social media bio.
Dr Disrespect asserted that he would eventually be permitted to return to Midnight Society, insisting that it was “still his studio,” despite the amicable agreement he reached with the company’s leadership to part ways.
“I just got a feeling. Just give it a little bit more time. We’ll be right back in it. We’ll be right back in it, champs. Just give us some time. Not a problem,” he stated.
However, the studio has firmly denied any potential for Beahm’s return, labeling Doc’s comments as “baseless.”
A spokesperson for Midnight Society informed Decrypt that Beahm’s assertion was a “baseless claim” and simply “not true.”
“We amicably parted ways with Dr Disrespect, and we will always appreciate his contributions to the studio. Our focus is on delivering Deadrop in 2025,” the representative explained.
The future of Dr Disrespect remains uncertain as he awaits news on the status of his YouTube monetization application submitted on September 25.
Despite Midnight Society’s rejection of any possibility for Dr Disrespect to return, the streamer continues to list the company in his X bio as of September 30.
