Mike Tyson is certain that Jake Paul will “flee like a thief” during their eagerly awaited clash on November 15. However, Tyson desires for his competitor to engage in a real fight, stating he would prefer to perish in the ring rather than in a hospital.
The influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul is preparing to face Mike Tyson next month, and this matchup has generated significant buzz within the combat sports community for several months.
On October 24, Netflix unveiled a trailer for its documentary series offering a behind-the-scenes look at the buildup to the fight, revealing a poignant moment from Tyson.
“This means a lot to me. If I win, I’ll achieve immortality,” remarked the 58-year-old. “If things go poorly, I’d rather meet my end in the ring than in a hospital.”
On the same day, Tyson appeared on Fox 4 Dallas, expressing his apprehension that Jake Paul might evade confrontation, yet he believes he can take down the boxing newcomer swiftly if he gets the chance.
“It’s hard to see how he’ll make this an entertaining match by evading me all night,” Tyson cautioned. “He’s the young contender, he should be charging through me, while I’m viewed as the veteran.”
Tyson also urged Paul to engage in a real sparring contest, noting that due to their age difference, he should have no trouble absorbing Paul’s blows.
Tyson emphasized his intentions to inflict pain on Paul, assuring fans that “they won’t believe the spectacle that’s in store in terms of pain.”
Despite warnings from Jake’s brother Logan regarding the potential dangers of the fight, ‘Iron Mike’ has remained firm in his stance, showing no fear of enduring Paul’s heavy punches.
This highly anticipated boxing match will be streamed live on Netflix on November 15.
