Mike Tyson has announced that his health concerns have been “resolved” as he prepares for his upcoming match against Jake Paul, dispelling fears that the fight might be canceled at the last minute.
The highly anticipated bout was initially set for July; however, it was canceled when Tyson experienced an ulcer flare-up during a flight across the United States. Following Tyson’s health setback, Jake Paul went on to defeat Mike Perry in his absence, and they have since pushed the fight to mid-November.
Due to Tyson’s previous health issues leading to the cancellation, there were renewed anxieties surrounding the event. Reports indicate that Netflix has mandated stricter pre-fight medical evaluations to ensure the fight proceeds smoothly this time.
There were also suggestions that results from these tests wouldn’t be available until the fight day itself, which raised concerns about a potential sudden cancellation if the boxing icon was deemed unfit to compete.
Nevertheless, the 58-year-old boxing champion has reassured fans about his well-being. “Everything is sorted out,” he told TalkSport on October 30. “I faced an ulcer issue due to unhealthy eating late,” he added, expressing his relief by saying “thank god” when asked if he had overcome his health challenges.

Although there have been persistent worries regarding his health from various quarters, Tyson has gained support from Jake, who believes the heavyweight will be ready for the fight.
The ‘Problem Child’ has indicated that he is committed to fighting Tyson “or nothing,” meaning he won’t consider a substitute opponent if the boxing legend is unable to step into the ring. This marks a departure from his usual strategy of having a backup, as was the case with Perry in July.
Additionally, rumors suggest that Jake Paul may be transitioning away from boxing after this fight to pursue a career in MMA. Although he has yet to debut in the PFL, he still has aspirations of winning a boxing championship.
