Jake Paul, known for his controversial rise in the boxing world, has recently received significant attention after being called out by a noted boxing legend. This call comes in the wake of Paul’s victory over the legendary Mike Tyson, showcasing the ongoing interest in matching him against established fighters.
Following his win against Tyson in November, Jake Paul has drawn challenges from a variety of prominent boxers, including champions such as Artur Beterbiev, Daniel Dubois, Gervonta Davis, and Ryan Garcia. Clearly, the ‘Problem Child’ is in high demand for boxing bouts.
Many of these challengers hail from a similar background to Tyson, having been retired for some time yet eager to make a mark by facing the YouTuber-turned-boxer. Carl Froch has notably expressed his willingness to enter the ring with Paul, even suggesting he could fight with one hand tied behind his back.
Roy Jones Jr. Expresses Interest in Fighting Jake Paul
In a recent development, former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. has thrown his name into the mix, indicating a desire to step into the ring with the 27-year-old. Jones, who possesses an impressive boxing history, hinted at wanting to “test”Paul’s abilities.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, he stated, “I don’t think Mike checked his chin at all. So, I wouldn’t mind having a shot to see if I could get to his chin, to test his chin.” He continued, “If he takes the shot, cool. If he can catch me before I get to his chin, that’s cool too. But I definitely want the opportunity to go after his chin, you know?”
Jake Paul Reacts to Tommy Fury’s Challenge for a 2025 Rematch
Jones Jr. isn’t the only significant figure looking to face Paul. Tommy Fury, Paul’s long-time rival, has recently stated his interest in a rematch, provided a “serious”offer is made. In response, Paul did not hold back, accusing Fury of lacking reliability and credibility.
“What an absolute muppet. Buddy, you just pulled out of a fight for the third time. You have ZERO credibility,” Paul tweeted via X, formerly known as Twitter. He accused Fury of avoiding an $8 million offer, while also pointing out Fury’s recent personal struggles.
What an absolute muppet. Buddy you just pulled out of a fight for the 3rd time. You have ZERO credibility.I offered you $8M dollars and you ran away from it. And now you got dumped by Molly, getting sued by DAZN and still can’t call a shot without your dadGTFOH…
