Miles Edgeworth Goes from Sham to Sus as Free Among Us Cosmetic

Miles Edgeworth Goes from Sham to Sus as Free Among Us Cosmetic

When Phoenix Wright accused Miles Edgeworth of being a fraud, he intended to convey that he was a counterfeit. The official Twitter account for Among Us has announced that a complimentary cosmetic will be released in the popular mafia-style game on September 9. In an unexpected turn of events, the cosmetic will feature Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth’s suit and hair, merging the universes of Among Us and Ace Attorney.

The Among Us account hinted at a new cosmetic through a silhouette and clever puns before officially revealing it. They responded to fan requests for a free drop and promised to settle the matter soon. Some fans correctly guessed that the cosmetic would be Miles Edgeworth, but even those who predicted it were surprised when the confirmation came a few days later.

The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, set to release on September 6, will feature a new cosmetic for Among Us. While the thought of a crossover between Ace Attorney and Among Us may seem far-fetched, the announcement of the collection was even more surprising. The second installment in the Ace Attorney Investigations series, Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit, was initially launched on the Nintendo DS in Japan in 2017, but did not receive an official English translation. The addition of Miles Edgeworth to the world of Among Us is an unexpected yet exciting way to commemorate this significant event.

With the upcoming collection release in mind, it is worth noting that Miles Edgeworth is a valuable addition to the cast of Among Us, whether as a Crewmate or an Imposter. While Phoenix Wright’s main goal is to protect his clients from being found guilty, Edgeworth is more focused on delivering guilty verdicts. Phoenix would inevitably struggle in emergency meetings if he constantly defended the accused. Despite leaving behind his previous tactics of securing a guilty verdict at all costs, in the vastness of outer space, such a luxury is not always available. Additionally, Edgeworth’s past involvement in fabricating evidence aligns with the deceptive behavior of an Imposter.

Participating in these references can enhance the gameplay experience, but even without them, spotting an Among Us character with Edgeworth’s signature hair and suit is sure to bring a smile to one’s face. After solving mysteries in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, players can switch over to Among Us and identify Imposters or, if needed, protect their fellow Crewmates. There’s no room for objections here.
