Min Hee-jin Cannot Be Fired Petition Gains 10,000 Signatures from NewJeans Fans

Today (May 24th) at approximately 3 PM, a petition was submitted to Civil Division 50 of the Seoul Central District Court by 10,000 members of NewJeans’ fandom “Bunnies”in protest of the dismissal of Min Hee Jin.

The fans’ petition expressed their understanding that until a final legal decision is made regarding any alleged illegal actions by Min Hee-jin, the contractual terms between her and the parties involved should be upheld and her position should remain unchanged. This aligns with the intentions of NewJeans members, who also wish to show their support for the brand.

The petition successfully achieved its desired target of 10,000 participants within 16 hours, starting from the previous day when fans initiated the signature collection process.

HYBE is advocating for the removal of CEO Min, alleging that she tried to take over ADOR. An extraordinary shareholders’ meeting has been scheduled for May 31st to address this matter.

In reaction, CEO Min filed an injunction to prevent the exercise of voting rights during the meeting.

The decision regarding the injunction is anticipated to be declared before the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting, which is scheduled for next week.
