According to an article published by TenAsia on April 23, HYBE responded to the allegations raised by Min Hee-jin about ILLIT – NewJeans copying suspicions. The response, which was received on the morning of April 22 at 10 a.m (KST), spanned 6 pages of A4 paper.
It has been confirmed that Min Hee-jin received this email and even acknowledged it.
On the 23rd, Min Hee-jin had requested HYBE to provide a response on the raised concerns. Surprisingly, HYBE had already sent their response on the 22nd, a day before the deadline. This contradicts Min Hee-jin’s previous statement that she had not received a response despite raising suspicions about the issue of copying.
Previously, Min Hee-jin made allegations that ILLIT had plagiarized NewJeans and directed her accusations towards HYBE and Belift Lab, stating that they “failed to acknowledge their actions, hastily provided justifications, and postponed providing concrete explanations.”
In regards to TenAsia’s inquiry about receiving a response from HYBE, an official from ADOR responded, “Please refer to our earlier official statement.”This was said in response to the inquiry, indicating that a response had indeed been received from HYBE.
On the 22nd, Hive exercised their right of appreciation for Representative Min Hee-jin and Adoer management after detecting indications that they were attempting to break away from the headquarters. As a result, Hive’s audit team initiated the recovery of Adoer’s computer assets and arranged for in-person testimonies. Hive intends to review the retrieved computer assets and pursue legal action if deemed necessary.
