Recently, leaked KakaTalk conversations from Min Hee Jin to an acquaintance have surfaced, causing backlash towards the ADOR CEO for her disrespectful comments about NewJeans.
On May 17, 2024, Lee Jin Ho, an entertainment news reporter and journalist, hosted a live stream to discuss the evidence presented by both HYBE Labels and Min Hee Jin during their initial court hearing. Among the evidence discussed, a particular chat log stood out.
Min Hee Jin sent a message to an acquaintance discussing ADOR’s sole artist, NewJeans. The conversation sparked controversy online, as Min Hee Jin had previously stated during a press conference that she treats NewJeans as if they were her own daughters. She shared instances of mistreatment towards NewJeans and expressed the pain it caused her to witness such injustices.
Yet, these messages strike a different chord.
“In her messages, she expresses her frustration to her friend, stating, “This is precisely why I prefer not to collaborate with females. They lack efficiency and simply spend their time complaining, which can be exhausting.”
Despite being a girl herself, Min Hee Jin caused controversy among netizens when she stated, “I have a strong dislike for girls.”She also asserted, “If I were to assign these tasks to other girls, even in my death they would not be able to complete them.”
Min Hee Jin was accused of being rude to NewJeans during the trial on more than one occasion. According to HYBE Labels, she allegedly gaslighted the group in an attempt to establish dominance over them. It was reported that she would even dictate the answers for the girls during interviews, leaving NewJeans with a passive role as artists.
According to HYBE, Min Hee Jin allegedly expressed difficulty in considering the NewJeans members as artists and stated that it was burdensome to support and tolerate them.
In addition, certain messages from Min Hee Jin discredited NewJeans’s contribution to their success, as she stated, “NewJeans’s achievements are due to my efforts, not the NewJeans members.”She further asserted that without her, the NewJeans members would not have debuted.

The messages sparked a wild reaction, with one tweet on X (formerly Twitter) quickly going viral. This caused speculation about the NewJeans members’ feelings upon seeing the situation, especially since Min Hee Jin had publicly stated that the girls were on her side.
