Min Hee Jin Reveals Bang Si Hyuk’s Texts, Denies Rumors of GFriend’s Disbandment

In a recent press conference, Min Hee Jin, CEO of ADOR, shared surprising information about her interactions with HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk. She revealed text messages that implied Bang Si Hyuk’s competitive nature, specifically his request to “overpower”SM Entertainment’s girl group aespa.

In a conversation, Bang Si Hyuk jokingly asked, “You’re capable of taking down aespa, right?”and Min Hee Jin responded with laughter. This interaction has caused speculation within the industry, with some interpreting it as unprofessional and suggesting a competitive dynamic.

The revealed messages also reveal that Bang Si Hyuk asked Min Hee Jin to prioritize her collaboration with HYBE instead of her work with SM Entertainment. He proposed the idea of a new entity called “Min Hee Jin World,”which appeared to promote competition rather than cooperation.

Moreover, due to a delay in the debut of NewJeans, originally planned under HYBE’s subsidiary Source Music, Min Hee Jin ultimately redirected the debut to her own label, ADOR. This choice was made in response to apparent dissatisfaction with HYBE’s management of debut timelines.

Min Hee Jin responded to the accusations, stating, “I am unsure of why I am being accused of causing the disbandment. I had no involvement in it. My main focus was solely on my own job.”She further explained the difficulties encountered during the auditions and reiterated her dedication to nurturing talent.
