As the feud between HYBE and its affiliate ADOR – the management company of NewJeans – escalates, fans of NewJeans have initiated a truck protest.
The fanbase specifically organized a demonstration with a truck outside of HYBE’s Yongsan building on April 24. The truck’s messages included calls for “Min Hee-jin to cease involving other artists”, “Min Hee-jin to stop exploiting NewJeans and their families”, and statements of support for NewJeans’ endeavors under HYBE.
Meanwhile, NewJeans had been gearing up for a grand comeback, scheduling the release of two singles in May and June. They also had plans for a fan meeting, “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome,”to be held on June 26th and 27th at the Tokyo Dome.
Despite the recent revelations that ADOR’s management, specifically Min Hee Jin, also known as the “NewJeans Mom,”attempted to assume control of the agency without the knowledge of parent company HYBE, the comeback plans for NewJeans could potentially be in jeopardy.
Currently, HYBE is conducting an audit of Min Hee-jin and other ADOR executives. Additionally, there have been claims that Min Hee-jin engaged in covert negative publicity tactics against HYBE-affiliated artists in an effort to exert pressure on the company.
