According to an article in Hankook Kyungjae, Bang Si-hyuk and Min Hee-jin started off with a good relationship, but the two encountered a conflict while preparing for a new girl group.
In the end, despite Min Hee-jin being placed in ADOR, Bang Si-hyuk went on to produce LE SSERAFIM with Source Music without her involvement. An internal document also revealed that Min Hee-jin stated that NewJeans ultimately achieved more success.
After the launch of NewJeans, Min Hee-jin began to develop resentment towards other HYBE subsidiaries. She went as far as accusing ILLIT, TWS, and RIIZE of imitating NewJeans as time passed.
The ADOR CEO was disappointed when TWS was referred to as the “male version of NewJeans”. She firmly believed that if such a group existed, she should have been the one to create it.
According to reports, ILLIT’s debut was the final event that caused Min Hee-jin to lose all trust in Bang Si-hyuk.
Despite all of this, Min Hee-jin was convinced that HYBE’s recent actions were a clear effort to oust her because of the ongoing disputes.
