Min Hee-jin’s Side Addresses Accusations of Concealing Sexual Harassment Scandal

On July 29th, the law firm Sejong, acting as the legal representative for CEO Min Hee-jin, released an official statement stating that the sexual harassment case in question had already been thoroughly investigated by the HYBE Personnel Committee on March 16th and concluded as ‘not guilty’. Given that HYBE is directly responsible for handling legal matters, personnel affairs, and public relations, it is not only difficult to comprehend, but also unjust to revisit the issue and suddenly make a different interpretation in order to attack CEO Min Hee-jin.

The gathering, which included the employee involved in the issue, was organized on February 1st to clarify the work following their appointment. The employee had also consented to attending and the gathering ended smoothly with no issues.

The legal representative of ADOR denied the accusation that CEO Min Hee-jin attempted to conceal the incident by supporting a male executive believed to be responsible for the sexual harassment. As revealed in the earlier conversation released by Dispatch, CEO Min Hee-jin used strong language to criticize the female victim.

The law firm rebutted the claim, stating that CEO Min Hee-jin acted with impartiality by listening to both parties’ perspectives, attempting to resolve the dispute, and fulfilling her duty to prevent similar incidents in the future through careful caution and warnings. Additionally, she made suggestions to HYBE for the implementation of a more effective system, including enhancements to HR processes and increased transparency.

It was stressed that revealing private conversations is a form of personal attack and is irrelevant to the main issue. Furthermore, it is a violation of the law to divulge private conversations to a third party.
