Min Hee-jin’s Spending on Shaman Services Raises Questions About Her Denial of Involvement in Shamanism

During her emergency press conference on April 25th, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin denied HYBE’s allegations of shaman involvement in the management of ADOR. The female CEO stated that the shaman was merely an acquaintance. However, according to the conversation content recently revealed by Dispatch, it appears that the relationship between Min Hee-jin and the shaman goes beyond that of mere acquaintances.

The conversation between CEO Min Hee-jin and Shaman A regarding company operations was revealed by Dispatch on July 23rd. They discussed various strategies, including establishing an independent label, recruiting trainees from Source Music, and persuading Bang Si-hyuk to withdraw from their project, after severing ties with Source Music.

According to reports, Min Hee-jin went as far as seeking reviews from a shaman in order to carefully choose the members of the debut group. The CEO sent photos of the trainees to the shaman and received comments such as “This person appears foolish. I can sense a second soul in her eyes”and “I cannot see much within Danielle, but she would be a good fit for the group’s US debut.”In essence, the shaman played a significant part in Min Hee-jin’s ultimate decision in selecting the final lineup for debut.

Despite previously denying any involvement in shamanistic practices, Min Hee-jin’s actions have come under suspicion after it was revealed that she had sought the advice of a shaman regarding BTS’s military enlistment. In response to these allegations, Min Hee-jin defended herself by stating that the shaman in question was simply a friend and that there was nothing wrong with having a friend who practices shamanism. However, a recently disclosed conversation showed that Min Hee-jin had offered a reward of 15 million won to the shaman on February 25th, 2021. In addition, she had made specific requests such as hoping for the success of her girl group project without interference from Bang Si-hyuk and good reactions

Despite Min Hee-jin’s claims, Belift Lab has already released a statement denying any accusations of plagiarism. It was revealed that the delay in NewJeans’s debut was a result of Min Hee-jin submitting branding materials 8 months after the deadline, not because of Source Music. As more of Min Hee-jin’s false statements are brought to light, her previous statements are becoming less believable.

During the same time, Min Hee-jin encountered a challenging situation as HYBE accused her of practicing shamanism while leading ADOR. Based on recorded conversations obtained by HYBE, Min Hee-jin had consulted with a shaman regarding business matters for a period of six months. She had intended to collaborate with the shaman in managing ADOR and had even sought their input when hiring employees.
