A Dispute Rooted in Conflict
In elaborating on her exit from ADOR, Min Hee-jin stated, “Since HYBE’s illegal audits began in April, I have endured a hellish seven-month-long conflict with HYBE. Throughout this, I have made every effort to uphold the shareholder agreement and restore ADOR to its original state. However, as HYBE continues to deny their wrongdoing and shows no signs of change, I have concluded that further efforts would be a waste of time.”
Allegations of Unethical Practices
Min Hee-jin further remarked, “HYBE’s atrocities in 2024 will go down as an unprecedented issue in K-pop history. Their ethical negligence has reached its peak. While their dubious media tactics may persist, I believe the public has developed the discernment to recognize these patterns. However, should there be any unfounded smear campaigns or media manipulations, I will respond decisively through legal action.”
Legal Ramifications with NewJeans
Amidst this turmoil, it has come to light that on November 13, members of NewJeans—Kim Minji, Hanni Pham, Marsh Danielle, Kang Haerin, and Lee Hyein—issued a legal notice to ADOR. They demanded that all significant breaches of their exclusive contracts be rectified within a 14-day timeframe, threatening to terminate their contracts if the issues remained unaddressed.
