Legal Struggles for Min Hee-jin: Home Provisionally Attached
On September 11, Min Hee-jin, a prominent figure in the South Korean entertainment industry, was notified by a Seoul court about the provisional attachment of her residence located in Yeonnam-dong, with a value of 100 million KRW (approximately 71,000 USD).
This legal maneuver is the result of a civil lawsuit filed by a former employee of ADOR, referred to as “A.”
Background of the Legal Dispute
According to reports from TenAsia, the plaintiff, designated as “A,” has brought forth multiple allegations against Min Hee-jin, including defamation and violations of the Personal Information Protection Act. Additionally, A has lodged complaints regarding labor violations against both Min and ADOR’s deputy CEO, known as “B,” with the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The core of the provisional attachment arises from A’s civil lawsuit, which seeks 100 million KRW in damages, purportedly due to defamation claims made by Min Hee-jin.
Legal experts clarify that this attachment serves as a protective measure designed to secure assets that may be required for compensation should the court rule in favor of A.
Accusations of Cover-Up and Misconduct
In a related context, A has previously accused Deputy CEO B of sexual harassment, claiming that Min Hee-jin attempted to conceal the incident to protect B’s reputation. This allegation has further contributed to the ongoing defamation accusations directed toward Min Hee-jin.
Financial Implications and Personal Reflections
During the “2024 Hyundai Card Da Vinci Motel” event, Min Hee-jin addressed her financial circumstances, revealing that her legal fees could reach approximately 2.3 billion KRW (around 1.6 million USD).
She expressed concern over the potential necessity to sell her home, stating, “I am grateful to have had it. If I didn’t have money, I wouldn’t have been able to fight this case. I feel lucky not to have a husband or children, and I am thankful my parents are doing well.”

Legal Perspective on the Court’s Ruling
Legal analysts believe that Min Hee-jin’s public comments regarding her situation may have played a crucial role in influencing the court’s decision to impose a provisional attachment.
This legal strategy aims to prevent asset disposal by the debtor, thereby ensuring that sufficient resources are available for compensation if the creditor prevails in court.
