Minecraft sensation Dream faces uncertainty regarding the trajectory of his gaming career following a wrist injury incurred while assisting his friend Sapnap in preparation for the now-canceled Creator Clash boxing event.
In April 2025, the well-known YouTuber and streamer Dream stepped into the ring with fellow Minecraft influencer Sapnap to help him prepare for Creator Clash 3, a mock boxing match intended to foster camaraderie and fun. Despite his good intentions, Dream lacked prior experience in boxing, which contributed to the mishap.
Training footage revealed Dream’s unsophisticated technique, showcasing wide and sweeping punches that inadvertently impacted his wrist rather than landing correctly on his knuckles. The following day, Dream expressed his discomfort on social media platform X, noting significant wrist pain that hindered his ability to create video content. He remained hopeful that his condition would improve over time.
I hurt my wrist sparring Sapnap and now I couldn’t record a video I wanted to because I can hardly move my wrist 💀 hopefully it feels better tomorrow

Regrettably, his optimism did not materialize. After several months of persistent pain, Dream consulted a medical expert who revealed he had fractured his scaphoid bone and advised surgical intervention. While the prognosis indicated only a month in a cast following the operation, Dream experienced extended healing, requiring an additional month and a half of immobilization. His recovery journey has included innovative treatments involving ultrasonic waves aimed at accelerating the healing process.
Concerns Loom Over Dream’s Future in Gaming Amid Recovery
Dream shared his apprehensions about the potential impact of his injury on his Minecraft career during a YouTube video uploaded on November 4. He explained his dedication to preparing for the next installment of his Minecraft Manhunt series.
“I’m really hoping that it’s fine, ” he reflected.“With only a few weeks until my next appointment, I’m optimistic they will remove the cast.”
“I acknowledge how fortunate I am, thankful for all the support over the years. I strive to create outstanding content, yet I must prioritize healing my wrist. There’s a nagging fear within me that I may not regain my previous skills as quickly as I’d like, but I remain confident in my recovery.”
In his video, Dream appealed for patience from his fanbase, assuring them of a return with enhanced capabilities and even more engaging content once he has fully recuperated.
Sadly, it seems the circumstances surrounding Dream’s injury ultimately proved unnecessary, as Creator Clash 3 was ultimately canceled after experiencing delays and undergoing leadership changes in light of controversies involving its former organizer, iDubbbz.
