What to Expect in the Minecraft Winter Drop

Among the thrilling additions in the Winter Drop update is a brand-new biome called the Pale Garden, typically found near Dark Oak Forests. Here, players will discover a novel type of wood known as the Pale Oak Log, distinguished by its willow-like appearance and the same crafting capabilities as existing wood types.

This biome also introduces a menacing creature known as the Creaking. If you dare to explore the Pale Garden at night, beware, as this creature resembles a tree with eyes and will inflict damage if you stray your gaze. Specifically, the Creaking can deliver a blow causing damage equivalent to one heart.

Attacking the Creaking directly will not yield results; instead, players must locate and destroy the hidden Creaking Heart found within the Pale Oak Trees nearby.

Additional features include the introduction of Eyeblossom flowers, which come in two types: Open and Closed, each responding uniquely to environmental changes. Players will also encounter Resin, which forms in clumps on Pale Oak logs when hit by a Creaking.

The Resin can be crafted into blocks that serve multiple purposes, including creating Creaking Hearts, as well as various building materials such as Resin Brick blocks, stairs, slabs, and walls. Notably, the Resin Bricks can also function as a Smithing Template, allowing players to add orange patterns to their armor.

This overview highlights some of the most exciting new features coming with the Minecraft Winter Drop. We encourage you to explore the hauntingly beautiful Pale Garden, where colors fade and the sky dims as you venture through! Just don’t forget to carry a source of light if you’re brave enough to enter.

Additionally, since this biome debuts as an experimental feature, players may anticipate future updates from Mojang shortly after the Winter Drop release.
