Fans of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring are feeling anxious about a statement made by Miquella in the trailer for the final DLC.
The long-anticipated addition to Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdstree, will be released on June 21, giving fans the opportunity to embark on a new journey. The game will take place in the Land of Shadow, a previously hidden location concealed by the Erdtree.
After successfully escaping the clutches of her villainous brother Mohg, the character Miquella will play a crucial role in the DLC. She has fled to the Land of Shadow, and it is here that the Tarnished’s journey begins as they trail Miquella on her mysterious quest as a demigod.

Despite this, the official DLC trailer has caused fans to raise their eyebrows with a final line spoken by Miquella to the Tarnished, in which she asks, “Promise me you’ll be my consort.”
The sentence immediately made players realize that Miquella is under a curse that will keep her forever young, causing them to anxiously discuss the situation on a Reddit post.
“Actually, he’s much older than he appears. He’s been around for centuries,”one player clarified.
Some players pointed out that the phrase “loyal blade”may be a nod to Malenia, causing some to jest that the boss should be dubbed “Malenia, Blade of Chris Hanson.”
Despite Miquella being an ancient god who simply takes on the form of a child, fans still feel uneasy about his use of the term “consort”in the story.
A number of Elden Ring players were quick to point out that if Miquella were to lose “more than his fate”in the DLC, it would be a truly shocking turn of events.
