Mission: Yozakura Family: Episode 5 Highlights – Seiji Hotokeyama Arrests Taiyo and Interrogates Him
Taiyo Asano is strolling along the sidewalk in the evening in the beginning of Mission: Yozakura Family episode 5, talking to Mutsumi on the phone. Out of nowhere, a man appears in front of him and introduces himself as Seiji Hotokeyama, an officer from the Koizumi Precinct.
Seiji takes Taiyo to the police station and questions him about his recent actions. The main character is perplexed, as he is aware that the Yozakura family’s actions are typically concealed. Despite this, Seiji inquires if Taiyo has any ties to an organization, but Taiyo remains silent and refuses to respond.
Taiyo continues to pressure him, even resorting to threats of asking his friends if he refuses to answer his questions. Despite this, the protagonist stands firm and declares that he will not betray his friends.
In episode 5 of Mission: Yozakura Family, Seiji pulls out his hammer and swings it at Taiyo, who manages to dodge the attack.
As the hammer strikes the wall, it crumbles under its force and Taiyo is surprised to see his brother-in-law, Kyoichiro, on the other side. The skilled spy proceeds to inform the boy that Seiji Hotokeyama is working with the Yozakura family.
Based on the events of Mission: Yozakura Family episode 5, it can be inferred that Seiji and Kyoichiro were classmates during their time in junior school. In return for his assistance in police investigations, Seiji conceals the Yozakura family’s actions.
Additionally, the episode exposes that the entire situation was a small-scale evaluation of Taiyo Asano, in which he excelled by not betraying anyone’s identity.
Taiyo discovers a new superhuman ability in the class
In episode 5 of Mission: Yozakura Family, there is a time-skip to the next day where Taiyo can be seen attending Kyoichiro’s class at school. His exhaustion is evident, a result of his intense training and busy spy schedule.
Kyoichiro discloses that he has arrived to substitute for the regular homeroom teacher who is absent. However, as soon as the class commences, Taiyo falls asleep. Kyoichiro notices and swiftly throws a piece of chalk at him, but Taiyo skillfully dodges it.
After that, Kyoichiro communicates with Taiyo by tapping the chalk on the blackboard in morse code. He explains to the boy that a successful spy must be able to regulate their sleep and reach a state of being partially awake.
Mutsumi Yozakura, who is knowledgeable in Morse code, joins the conversation and reprimands her older brother.
Suddenly, Kyoichiro releases a sleeping gas in the classroom, causing everyone to fall asleep except Mutsumi, who quickly puts on a gas mask. He was curious to see if Taiyo could still dodge his attack of throwing chalk, even while unconscious.
Fascinatingly, the boy shifts in his slumber to evade the assault. Kyoichiro recognizes that Taiyo has entered a semi-conscious state.
Upon witnessing Taiyo’s condition, Mutsumi reprimands his brother for unintentionally stripping away his fiancée’s humanity. Additionally, episode 5 of Mission: Yozakura Family showcases Taiyo’s peculiar tendency to sleepwalk, caused by his current state.
Seiji assigns Taiyo to a new mission
In the second part of the episode, Taiyo Asano learns about the high divorce rate among spy couples from a dating manual. The main reason for this is their lack of time for each other. As a result, he decides to invite Mutsumi on a date.
Nevertheless, Taiyo receives a phone call from Seiji, who tasks him with a new mission. As per the mission’s details, Taiyo must obtain illegal firearms from a man and a woman at Tashimaen amusement park. While observing the park, the main character notices multiple couples, and his objective is to identify the potential suspects.
Out of nowhere, Mutsumi emerges in front of him. She informs him that she is here to assist him. She assures him that she is capable of protecting herself, and she also has Taiyo by her side, so she is not worried.
In Mission: Yozakura Family episode 5, Mutsumi and Taiyo search for any suspicious couples, but they all turn out to be innocent. However, Taiyo discovers that the mission has created the perfect chance for a date with Mutsumi.
While searching for his target, Taiyo buys a rose as a gift for Mutsumi. Suddenly, he spots a seemingly ordinary couple arguing with each other, who happen to be the people he is looking for. Acting quickly, he disarms them and contacts Seiji.
Afterwards, the scene depicts Taiyo and Mutsumi riding the Ferris Wheel during their date. Despite the rose he had bought for his fiance being damaged, the boy still presents it to her as a gesture of love.
Despite feeling overwhelmed, Mutsumi expresses her sincere gratitude. The fifth episode of Mission: Yozakura Family concludes on a positive note as Taiyo and Mutsumi are finally able to share a moment alone together.
