On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 5 pm JST, TBS, MBS, and other affiliated networks in Japan aired episode 9 of Mission: Yozakura Family, titled The Flower Meaning of Kuroyuri (Black Lily). The episode uncovered the true identity of Kuroyuri and provided insight into his intentions.

Mission: Yozakura Family – Sui Reveals Kuroyuri’s True Identity to Taiyo Asano

Beginning where the previous episode left off, episode 9 of Mission: Yozakura Family continues with Taiyo Asano questioning Kuroyuri about his family. Despite not being obligated to do so, Kuroyuri reveals that there are many hidden truths scattered throughout the world.

In that instant, Taiyo is interrupted by a phone call from Sui, who reveals that the deputy prime minister has already been kidnapped and is currently being live-streamed from an undisclosed location.

Based on the events of Mission: Yozakura Family episode 9, it was revealed that the deputy prime minister had been replaced with a surrogate during the chaos. Sui Aoi is convinced that Kuroyuri’s initial plan was to target the real deputy prime minister, and asks Taiyo to continue interrogating him.

Despite being confined, Kuroyuri manages to slip away and creates a diversion using a bomb to escape. As a result, in Mission: Yozakura Family episode 9, the focus shifts to the Yozakura mansion where Mutsumi, Nanao, and other members of the family are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Taiyo Asano.

According to the events of Mission: Yozakura Family episode 9, it is revealed that Kuroyuri is not only a cult-like politician, but also a spy. He was previously known as Kurogao, a renowned spy who operated covertly all over the world. Although there were rumors of his death five or six years ago, he actually managed to survive.

The Hinagiku loosened their hold on him and allowed him to investigate his intentions freely. Sui gives Taiyo their word that they will successfully rescue the deputy prime minister. With this assurance, he requests the boy to come back to headquarters.

In episode 9 of Mission: Yozakura Family, the setting shifts to the place where Kuroyuri has taken the deputy prime minister. He arranges for a live broadcast so that the entire country can observe their “heart-to-heart”dialogue. Unexpectedly, Kuroyuri removes his wig and exposes himself as Kurogao.

In episode 9 of Mission: Yozakura Family, Kurogao’s mission to expose the evil deeds of the deputy prime minister and seek vengeance on the politicians responsible, including the death of his daughter, is revealed.

Knowing that the deputy prime minister was aware of the entire situation, he planned to carry out the task in broad daylight. Just as Kurogao was about to use his gun to eliminate the man, Taiyo Asano appeared at the perfect moment and intervened. With his arrival, the boy showcased the Yozakura Family’s combat skills in order to defeat the spy.

Despite Taiyo’s best efforts, Kurogao is able to anticipate his every move thanks to his extensive knowledge of the Yozakura Family. Once Taiyo is defeated, Kurogao shares his heartbreaking past with the spy. After recounting his tragic tale, Kurogao sets out to confront the deputy prime minister. But before he can reach him, Taiyo manages to break free from his restraints and launches himself towards Kurogao. In the midst of the chaos, the Red, Blue, and Yellow spies appear, ready to defend their leader.

In a similar manner, Sui Aoi, a character from Hinagiku, arrives to assist Taiyo Asano. He faces off against the three spies, who display their unique skills. But Sui expertly traverses the battleground, demonstrating his mastery of sword fighting.

Despite being hit by a strong elemental attack, he manages to survive and the Red, Blue, and Yellow are reduced to dust. Meanwhile, Taiyo and Kurogao are engaged in a heated discussion. The former spy, now a politician, believes that the boy would be able to empathize with his emotions.

Despite everything, Taiyo refuses to allow any further violence. He can still vividly recall how Mutsumi Yozakura stood by his side during the difficult time when his family departed from this world. This experience has convinced him that one’s determination can bring about a change in reality.

Taiyo Asano then showcases the spy skills he acquired from the Yozakura family, while also surprising Kurogao with Sui Aoi’s swift movements.

After skillfully using Kurogao’s knowledge to his advantage and gaining the upper hand in the battle, Taiyo apprehended him. The boy then questioned Kurogao about his family, but before he could answer, a silent assassin fatally shot the spy in the throat.

Despite his dying breath, Kurogao managed to hand over a written message and praise Taiyo for his efforts. He believed that his fate was to meet this end, having given up on everything. In contrast, Taiyo persevered and refused to give up, constantly pushing forward.

Following the mission, Taiyo Asano heeds Kurogao’s instructions and arrives at a designated location, where the spy’s daughter was buried. He was tasked with leaving a bouquet of white lilies at her resting place.

Moreover, Kurogao’s communication also discloses that inside a small hollow of a tree, Taiyo can uncover what he has been searching for. In the finale of Mission: Yozakura Family episode 9, Taiyo Asano stumbles upon a minuscule box inside the hollow.
