1. How to Get Mixed Energy Residue in The First Descendant?
The First Descendant’s Agna Desert area allows for the acquisition of Mixed Energy Residue by opening both Encrypted Storage Boxes and Vaults. These Vaults come in various tiers, each requiring a specific tier of Code Analyzer to unlock.
Where to Find the Encrypted Vaults
The Encrypted Vaults can only be located in Agna Desert and spawn randomly. Nevertheless, they can be manipulated and efficiently farmed, allowing for a faster farming process.
To easily locate Encrypted Vaults, simply follow these steps:
To proceed, make sure that the quick travel location is unlocked, as depicted in the image below.
Step 2- Press the TAB button to scan the area. If you hear a pinging sound, it indicates the presence of an Encrypted Vault nearby. If there is no sound, it means the Vault has not yet respawned. Keep in mind that a low-pitched sound means you are facing the wrong direction, whereas a high-pitched sound means you are moving in the correct direction.
After completing Step 2 and obtaining Mixed Energy Residue, teleport to the other location and repeat the process. Keep in mind that these Vaults may take up to a minute to spawn, so you can use this time to explore the other location before returning to the previous spot.
Obtaining Mixed Energy Residue From Encrypted Vaults
To access Encrypted Vaults, you must have Code Analyzers. These are available in three different levels, each designed for a specific type of vault.

After successfully unlocking the vault, a mini-game will commence. In order to successfully complete the game, you must left-click your mouse at the precise moment the red dial is in the designated area. A timer will also be displayed during this process, and any mistakes made will result in a faster depletion of time.
If the timer runs out, the mini-game will result in failure and the Codes will be lost. However, upon successful completion of the mini-game, you will receive the Mixed Energy Residue as a reward.

How to Use Mixed Energy Residues
Crystallization Catalysts are made from Mixed Energy Residues and are crucial for creating weapons and upgrading Descendant modules in the final stages of the game. When utilizing these catalysts to increase your Descendant module capacity, it will reset your Descendant’s level.
To successfully complete the Crystallization Catalyst research, it is necessary to acquire 8 Mixed Energy Residues. It is advised to gather a surplus amount of these residues to ensure a constant supply for crafting the catalysts. Keep in mind that each Catalyst has a research time of 8 hours, and considering the quantity needed, a significant amount will be required.
