MKBHD Clinches Frisbee World Championship with Game-Winning Goal

MKBHD has achieved remarkable success by winning a Frisbee World Championship as a member of Team USA, notably scoring the decisive final goal to clinch the gold medal.

While Marques Brownlee is primarily recognized as the popular face of one of YouTube’s largest tech channels, he is also a professional Ultimate Frisbee player who openly shares his passion for the sport. He has collaborated with various YouTubers, showcasing his love for Ultimate Frisbee.

This expertise was recently spotlighted when Brownlee was selected as part of Team USA to compete at the 2024 World Ultimate Championships in Australia, where he played for their mixed team.

Team USA concluded the championships with multiple gold medals, one of which was earned through Brownlee’s contribution.

During the Mixed Division championship on September 7, Team USA faced Team Canada in the finals, having previously defeated them 15-6 earlier in the tournament.

In the rematch for the championship, Team USA secured another victory over Canada, winning 15-8, with Brownlee scoring the final goal to earn the gold medal.

In Ultimate Frisbee, a team wins by being the first to score 15 goals, and Brownlee scored the decisive goal just as the match approached 83 minutes of play.

During the finals, Brownlee also assisted in the fifth goal during the first half, contributing to Team USA’s lead of 8-6 at that point.

“World Champs, hasn’t hit me yet,” Brownlee tweeted following his championship win, accompanied by a clip of his final goal moment.

Throughout the tournament, Team USA excelled defensively, allowing no more than 10 goals in any match, ultimately securing gold medals in the Open Division, Women’s Division, and the Guts Open Division.
