This Modern Warfare 2 sniper rifle has the ability to recreate the iconic MW2 intervention in Warzone, transporting players back to 2009 while also dealing significant damage.
Since its launch, snipers have been a major source of debate among Warzone players. From the days of the Kar98k dominating in Verdansk to now, with the same gun making a comeback in MW3 and causing chaos in both battle royale and multiplayer, they have remained a contentious topic.
Despite confirmation from Modern Warfare 3 devs Sledgehammer Games that a Kar98k nerf is on the horizon in the Season 4 Reloaded update, this does not necessarily mean that sniping will become obsolete in Warzone. The Kar98k may still remain a formidable weapon even after the update.
Despite the nerf, there are still many viable options for players in Warzone if the Kar98 meta does come to an end. These include the once-popular MORS and, thanks to FaZe Swagg’s replication of the OG Intervention with his FJX Imperium build, this could become a top choice as well.
Swagg’s method of building his best FJX Imperium class is aimed at reviving the classic Intervention, which is widely considered to be the greatest sniper in Call of Duty history. He achieves this by following the steps outlined on his YouTube channel, @Swagg.
- Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L
- Laser : VLK LZR 7mw
- Stock: FJX Lux-7 Stock
- Ammunition:. 408 High Velocity
- Rear Grip: Skull-40
In the video, Swagg also mentions the option of swapping out the High Velocity Ammunition for Explosive ammo if that is your preferred choice. Doing so would enhance your damage range, which can be beneficial for those who enjoy taking long-range shots.
Although the FJX Imperium may not result in a one-shot kill against fully-armored enemies, its damage drop-off is significantly shorter than that of the Kar98, ensuring a consistent level of damage regardless of distance or proximity to the target.
At farther distances, the damage inflicted to the opponent’s chest or neck may not be lethal, but according to TrueGameData, the minimum damage that can be done is 134. This is still sufficient to remove most of an opponent’s body armor, particularly if they have three plates on.
As always, it is worth mentioning that you should experiment with this class to gauge its performance and make any necessary modifications according to your own play style and what feels most suitable for you.
