The Care Package is a well-known Killstreak in Call of Duty, which can be utilized in Modern Warfare 3. However, a recent analysis conducted by a player has unveiled the drop rates, and they are not very promising.
Following 1,000 uses of the Care Package in MW3, Reddit user ‘Alex_Nares’ posted their findings on the game’s subreddit. They provided a table listing the frequency and percentage of each Killstreak obtained from the Care Package.
The findings indicated that the SAM Turret had the greatest likelihood of being obtained, with odds of 1 in 9 and a 10.60% chance. However, the Chopper Gunner and Gunship had considerably lower odds, with a drop rate of only 0.80%, despite having more valuable Killstreaks.
One comment remarked, “aka they’re not even worth using,”in reaction to the breakdown. The OP concurred, saying, “Probably.”
The average value of a Killstreak obtained from a Care Package was explained to be six kills. As it requires five kills to earn the package, there is typically a one-kill gain. However, there is always the possibility that an enemy or even a teammate may steal the package, resulting in a loss of value.

Taking this into consideration, the value of the Care Package falls below the average of six kills. As a result, it becomes an even less favorable option compared to selecting a Killstreak that requires a higher number of kills.
