Moistcr1tikal is back with a new speedrun challenge, promising a prize of $10,000 to whoever can conquer Another Crab’s Treasure.
Following his initial announcement in early February 2023 to host monthly speedrunning challenges, Moistcr1tikal’s popular bounties “just kind of stopped.”
Confused viewers and gamers were left wondering what had occurred, but Moistcr1tikal has now clarified things with an exciting new bounty for fans to anticipate.
Despite thoroughly enjoying hosting the challenges, Moistcr1tikal expressed that the frequency of them gradually decreased as he constantly strived to make it even more successful.
“It has been in a state of limbo for some time now, but I am pleased to announce that we are finally bringing it out of purgatory,”shared the YouTuber and Twitch streamer. “We are giving it a fresh start and going all out.”
Instead of reintroducing the monthly challenges, Moistcr1tikal announced that speedrun bounties would now only be featured at “big events.”As a result, the upcoming bounty will be a joint effort with Ludwig’s charity speedrunning event, Fast50.
Moistcr1tikal selected one of his top games from the year and extended an invitation to participants to achieve the status of “Gods”in Another Crab’s Treasure, a game that already boasts a well-established community of speedrunners.
To allow participants to become acquainted with the game, Moistcr1tikal’s challenge has started earlier than Fast50 and is currently underway. The deadline for all submissions is 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET on June 2.
The individual known as ‘spicee’ currently holds the record, achieving the first sub 30 time with an impressive 29 minutes and 42 seconds.

The cash prize of $10,000 will be divided among the top ten winners as follows: first place will receive $5,000, second place will receive $2,500, third place will receive $1,250, fourth place will receive $500, fifth place will receive $250, and sixth to tenth place will each receive $100.
