IShowSpeed has been exploring Indonesia, but a mischievous monkey disrupted his livestream by snatching the microphone from his shirt.
The popular YouTuber IShowSpeed made a stop in Bali, Indonesia during his extensive tour across Southeast Asia.
On September 20, 2024, he was live streaming while wandering through Bali’s renowned monkey forest. He had a seat on a bench to engage with the local wildlife.
One particular monkey climbed onto IShowSpeed’s head, then moved to his right shoulder and knocked his microphone onto the ground.
Upon realizing the microphone had fallen, he jumped up from the bench, only to spot another monkey clutching the microphone next to the patio.
“Give me the mic, give me my mic,” he urged the monkey as it bounded away from him.

Security personnel intervened to help retrieve the stolen microphone. After several minutes of listening to the monkey breathe into it, IShowSpeed’s team provided him with a backup microphone.
Determined not to let this expensive equipment go without a fight, he ventured to another part of the jungle in search of the monkey. However, he soon realized that continuing the search was not worth the time, and he decided to abandon the pursuit.
“F**k it, I don’t even care anymore bro,” he expressed. “I don’t even care anymore, I ain’t gonna cap… what else are we going to do [to try to find it]?”
While the loss of his microphone was unfortunate, Speed’s IRL streaming experience in Indonesia has been phenomenal. On September 18, 2024, he emotionally broke down on camera after discovering that his stream peaked at over 1 million live viewers.
“I LOVE YALL INDONESIA MY BIGGEST STREAM EVER,” he shared in a post on X.
