This week, fans of Young Sheldon took to social media to express that they could no longer see Georgie in the same light after an explicit video reportedly surfaced on the internet.
Despite the removal of the video from the internet, fans continue to leave hundreds of comments on TikTok and Instagram clips for Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.
Despite not publicly addressing the alleged video, Montana Jordan, known for his role as Georgie, has taken the step of disabling comments on his Instagram and TikTok accounts. This action suggests that he is aware of the response to the video.
The celebrity’s most recent Instagram post was on July 14, coinciding with CBS’s announcement of the official logo and release date for the Young Sheldon sequel. His last TikTok was shared in May, following the birth of his real-life daughter.
The Young Sheldon TikTok account has also removed comments, and its suggested search is currently “what did Georgie Cooper do”on the pinned video announcing the script.
The moderators have removed a previous Reddit post that criticized fans for spreading information about the supposed leak. However, the thread’s comments are still visible even without a logged-in account.
“In light of the current state of deep fakes, one response stated that they approach everything with skepticism until it can be verified as true.”
“Another person commented, ‘As a grown adult, he has the right to share those types of videos with his partner.’ However, they also expressed concern over the fact that the video was being distributed on social media by unknown individuals.”
A third person added, “I understand that, but that’s not the main issue here. The problem is that it shouldn’t have been made public. Even though he’s an adult and can share with whomever he chooses, he needs to remember that he’s a public figure and things can easily get leaked. So, was it worth the risk?”
No comment has been made by either Jordan or Young Sheldon and CBS regarding the alleged leak. Currently, the filming of Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage is in progress.
