Moonbyul Discusses Rivalry with Solar: “We Fought and Pulled Hair, Now We’re Like Sisters”

On September 17th, the YouTube channel “VIVO TV” released a video titled “Song Eun-yi Travels in the Same Car with Moonbyul.”

In this engaging video, Moonbyul reminisced about a memorable trip to Japan with her fellow singer Solar. During their visit, Moonbyul faced the unfortunate situation of being unable to enter a hot spring due to her tattoo. In response to this, Solar nonchalantly remarked, “Well, I’ll just go by myself then,” and proceeded to enjoy the hot spring alone.

Curious about Moonbyul’s thoughts, Song Eun-yi asked, “What would you have done in that situation, Moonbyul?” Moonbyul humorously replied, “I think I would’ve just suggested we both leave without going in,” which prompted laughter among the group.

She playfully added, “Because we came all the way here together, I would’ve wanted us both to stay. Does this make Solar look like the bad guy?”

Moonbyul further admitted, “Honestly, I felt more at ease knowing she went in. Initially, I felt somewhat upset—not at Solar, but simply about the situation.”

She continued to reflect, saying, “But Solar came out of the hot spring quickly because she felt guilty, which speaks to how well-matched our personalities are. Despite being one year older, we share a very close friendship.”

Looking back on their history, Moonbyul shared, “Solar and I used to argue frequently, even pulling each other’s hair. However, all those conflicts have transformed into dust, which has fertilized the beautiful friendship we have today. In the past, our blunt nature caused us to hurt each other, but I now understand and accept it,” highlighting the maturity of their relationship.
