On May 29th, Allkpop released a report stating that BTS’s V was allegedly hiding the fact that he had a son at the age of 29. This speculation started when a video of a baby who resembled V went viral on Korean online forums on the 28th. Some individuals even tagged V’s account in the post featuring the baby. However, it has been confirmed that the baby is actually a Korean-Filipino named Kim Su-ho.
In the evening of May 28th, Kim Su-ho’s mother addressed the circulating rumors about V in a post, denying all claims. She explained that Su-ho’s father, who is in his 50s, prefers not to share his current pictures or videos on Instagram. Therefore, she decided to share childhood pictures of him, with his consent.
“Today, I came across a comment that was highly inappropriate. While I have seen my fair share of negative comments, this one in particular was unacceptable. Jokes can be harmless, but they have the potential to harm careers and lives.”
Suho’s mother spoke highly of Kim Tae-hyung (known by his stage name V), stating that he deserves respect for his kindness and popularity. She also mentioned his hard work and urged fans to protect his image, emphasizing that Suho is not related to Tae-hyung.
Upon reading Suho’s mother’s statement, netizens rallied behind her family and directed their criticism towards fans who had left excessive comments on her account.
