Marvel and pop culture artist, BossLogic, has joined the discussion about button-controlled consoles by creating humorous renderings of Xbox controllers. These renders feature popular characters such as Mortal Kombat’s ninjas and Pikachu, and they are so entertaining that they make us actually desire them.
BossLogic has revealed his fan-made designs for some of Mortal Kombat’s most iconic characters, following the release of the Deadpool & Wolverine controllers.
BossLogic’s pert controllers feature designs inspired by fan-favorite Mortal Kombat characters such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, and Smoke. Each controller exudes a playful tone, with a clever placement of a smoky trail running along the back.
Scorpion is depicted with his iconic spear resting on his curves, while Sub-Zero is frozen in place. Reptile’s portrayal shows him oozing his signature acid spit.

Despite being thoroughly impressed with the work, many Twitter/X users have been quick to point out its depravity.
“The man with the skull emoji is not the one with chains in his cheeks, haha.”
Nevertheless, even though the theming was pleasant, we were surprised to discover that all four were followed up by none other than Pikachu.
Despite never really giving it much thought, the adorable tribute serves as a reminder of the iconic “chubby Pikachu”.

The image could have possibly been influenced by a different user’s response to the original Mortal Kombat post.
“Alright, let’s try Pikachu’s thunder cheeks now.”
A few hours later, the four renders were joined by Pikachu’s iconic “thunder cheeks”. However, we believe they had a vision that was more similar to the yellow creature’s red cheeks.
We have put forth our greatest effort to replicate the initial idea:
BossLogic first gained recognition for his exceptional fanart of Marvel and DC films. As a result, he has been able to collaborate directly with major production companies such as Disney and Marvel, creating posters and comic covers. His impressive work can even be seen in the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie, among others, as showcased on his ArtStation page.
He was recently showcased as a special edition alternate cover for the recently released Ultimate Black Panther comic.
Other tie-in products are also available, not just Microsoft’s Deadpool & Wolverine controllers.
