Mr Beast Determined to Keep His YouTube Subscriber Lead Over Ronaldo

MrBeast is prepared to fight to maintain his title as the most subscribed YouTube channel, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent success on the platform posing a serious challenge.

Known in real life as Jimmy Donaldson, MrBeast has topped the YouTube subscriber charts since June 1, 2024, when he overtook T-Series.

Recently, however, Jimmy has faced several controversies, including allegations of money laundering and claims of promoting a toxic workplace environment.

Despite these ongoing issues, MrBeast is back in action after taking a brief hiatus from public life.

On October 2, 2024, MrBeast joined Logan Paul on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, alongside KSI. The trio discussed a variety of topics, including the launch of Lunchly, MrBeast’s forthcoming Amazon series, and notably, whether Ronaldo might surpass his channel in subscriber count.

Although Cristiano Ronaldo only debuted on YouTube on August 21, 2024, he has quickly gained over 63 million subscribers, setting a record for the most rapid growth in a single month—previously held by MrBeast.

The conversation begins at the 33:50 mark

During the podcast episode, when the discussion turned to Ronaldo’s rising popularity on YouTube, Jimmy didn’t hesitate to recognize him as a legitimate competitor.

“I broke the world record for most subs in a month, and two months later, Ronaldo comes on,” he mentioned, pointing to the timing of their subscriber races.

He further claimed that Ronaldo was already “crushing” it on the platform, referring to the soccer superstar as “real-life Mr. Rizz.” MrBeast later remarked, “if there were someone who would pass me, it would be Ronaldo.”

Nonetheless, MrBeast assured that he would “not be going down without a fight,” even suggesting that he might consider collaborating with Lionel Messi to counter Ronaldo’s growing success.

Currently, MrBeast holds over 318 million subscribers on YouTube. While his channel has seen a decline linked to the aforementioned controversies, he remains the frontrunner.

It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo can sustain his impressive growth on YouTube and establish himself as a real threat to MrBeast’s dominance; however, Jimmy is clearly ready to meet the challenge head-on as the competition heats up.
